Audit software tutorials
Audit Commander
Four types of tutorials are provided for the Audit Commander:
- Slide presentation
- Movies
- Documents in Adobe (PDF) format
- Web pages with screen shots and narratives
Adobe Documents
Specific audit topics are presented in the standard Adobe PDF document format.
Slide presentations
A set of 10 - 15 slides is presented to provide an overview of a topic. Slides are set on "automatic" and will take about one minute to view. The presentation can be adjusted using the backwards and forwards buttons provided.
Movies
The purpose of the video tutorials is to offer the auditor an opportunity to obtain specific audit skills, using an on-line environment, at a self-paced delivery. Each tutorial has specific learning objectives which are outlined on the explanatory pages. In order to take advantage of these tutorials, a high speed Internet connection is required. Each page will indicate the length of the video presentation. The presentations are offered in two modes:
- full screen and
- within a window
The advantage of a full screen is that what the auditor sees will closely relate in size to the types of forms and processing the auditor will perform. These sessions may be terminated using the "escape" key. The advantage of the window presentation is that it is much more compact and makes navigation between pages easier.
Web Pages with Screen Shots and narratives
These consist of a series of web pages, each containing a screen shot with some explanatory text. The web pages also include the Google widget for translation of the text into foreign languages. Although the text on the screen shots can not be translated, the narratives are which may make it easier to understand where a language barrier may be present.
