Testing

Testing/validating the installation can be done in 8 steps:

 

 

  1. From the menu item "Audit Tests|General", open the "Audit Parameters" tab and specify the name of a folder to contain the information from the audit procedures run.
  2. Specify the name of a logging file, e.g. "Log.ini" (without the quotes) and check the logging check box to turn on logging
  3. Click "WP Update" to save the audit parameters selected.
  4. Go to the form tab and run several queries.
  5. Return to the audit parameter tab and create an index "Create Index" button.
  6. Close the General form and then open the electronuic work paper form using "Audit Tests"Electronic work papers"
  7. Click on the button "Command file" and select the log file that you just created.
  8. Browse through the forms.

Note: There is a pre-populated audit command file which can be used as an example. The file is called "ewp.ini" and is installed in the application root folder. The commands in this file use the information contained in the Excel work book which is included in the zip file of test data which is available for download (not included in the setup file due to size - 15 MB).
