Command Overview The clear command is used to clear the data from a worksheet. Most commonly this command is used to prepare a worksheet for storing results from a query when that sheet has been used previously. Note that caution should be used with this command, as it clears the worksheet without warning or further prompting.

Syntax The command is entered on the command line as the command name ("clear", or just "cl") followed by the sheet name parameter. This command parameter consists of an argument name (sheet), immediately followed by an equal sign ("=") and then immediately followed by a value. The value may be enclosed with quotation marks, and must be enclosed by quotation marks if the value consists of any embedded spaces. The syntax for the clear command is very simple: cl sheet=Results.
