The data being tested will reside in either a table within an Access data base or else a worksheet within an Excel workbook.

In the case of Access it is also possible that instead of a table, the data resides in a predefined query within the Access database.

For Excel, the data can reside within a worksheet, within a named range or within a specified range on a worksheet. For a worksheet, the name is terminated with a "$". For example a sheet named "Fixed Assets" would be referred to as as Fixed Assets$.
